Thank The Forces Charity Van Appeal

Thank The Forces Charity is in desperate need of a transit style van to transport fundraising and awareness equipment to shows, fetes and shopping centres around the County.

We have launched a Charity van appeal and if anyone out there is able to sponsor our wonderful fundraiser Helen, please call Sue on the number at the top of the page.

Volunteer Fundraiser Helen Kitcher from Polegate is participating in a sponsored diet, with all money raised being used for the van appeal.

Helens brave son is serving in Iraq and she has already lost 17 1b in weight. Her diet will continue until July …when her son James will be 21 yrs old.

Helen says "I have decided to diet for sponsorship and donate the money to Thank The Forces Charity van appeal. If my son and his brave colleagues can go for 6- 9 months, without chocolate, pastries, treats and everyday items we take for granted I am sure I can do the same for just 14 weeks until James 21st Birthday, when he will still be serving his country in Iraq. I plan to send James a box of goodies and treats on his birthday plus family photographs and a picture of his new, slim looking mum. I am so very proud of James for serving his country and I know he will be proud of me for what I am doing to help raise morale of our troops and let our brave soldiers know they are not forgotten , but in the hearts and minds of those they serve."
