  • RBL Motorbike Riders Join Forces with Rainbows and Brownies to support Thank The Forces Charity

    The Royal British Legion Riders (KSS) Division joined forces with the The 4th Chislehurst Rainbows and the 10th Chislehurst Brownies to show their support for British Forces serving in Afghanistan
    Toni Hartwell from t the Chislehurst Rainbows and Brownies organised the collection of over 27 beautifully decorated gift boxes filled with gifts, sweets and treats for the troops.
    Toni and the riders from the RBL KSS Division attended Thank The Forces Military Fair at Gillingham and loaded the lovely lot of gift boxes into Sue’s car.

    A BIG thank you from Thank The Forces Charity to all the Brownies, Rainbows and the RBL Riders for their outstanding support.

  • Stephen Lloyds Festive Appeal

    During December 2009 Lib/Dem Parliamentary Spokesman Stephen Lloyd asked Sue for permission to write a personal letter about Thank The Forces work, to be included in his Festive Christmas cards and sent out  to the people of Eastbourne and Willingdon.

    As a result of the Stephen Lloyds letter of support for Thank The Forces, Eastbourne and Willingdon residents have donated a massive £1,896.00p to the Charity.

    On Monday the 18th January 2010 Stephen Lloyd met with Sue to present an equally enormous cheque to Thank The Forces Charity on behalf of the people of Eastbourne and Willingdon.

    Stephen Lloyd added
    I was absolutely thrilled to hear from Sue how many people from Eastbourne and Willingdon had contributed once they received my Christmas card. Wonderful generosity, from local people giving to such a fantastic cause. It is a privilege to be a supporter of Thank The Forces Charity’

  • Liberal Democratic Party Leader Nick Clegg Takes Time out to raise funds for Thank The Forces Charity!

    On Wednesday the 2nd December 2009 Liberal Democratic Party leader Nick Clegg visited Eastbourne and took time out of his busy schedule to show his support for a local Charity Thank The Forces.

    Mr Clegg was at Eastbourne Town Hall hosting a public meeting and together with Local Liberal Democratic Parliamentary Candidate Stephen Lloyd, he agreed to assist Thank The Forces Charity in their work to raise funds to support British Forces Personnel serving on the front line in Afghanistan.

    Over £230.00 was raised when Stephen Lloyd asked members of the public meeting to show their support for Thank The Forces Charity.

  • 9th Haywards Heath Guides Thank The Forces!

    The 9th Haywards Heath Guides have been very busy, collecting lovely Christmas treats for the British Forces serving in Afghanistan. The Guides decorated and filled masses of gift boxes that have been sent to our brave heroes well in time for Christmas.
