    I wanted to send you all a letter to say a massive thank you for all the hard work you guys have done to make us out here feel a little better.

    I can tell you that all the guys and girls act like its Christmas morning when the boxes turn up out here, they are so gratefully received.

    It is fantastic for us to know that you guys are so supportive and understanding with regards to the situation out here and I promise you that the thought of such great support from all at home goes a very long way to making our time out here go that little bit better.

    Thanks for your continued support you guys are really great.

    I would just like to say a big thank you for the lovely care packages that you sent to me and all the lads here in Iraq.

    It puts a massive smile on our faces that there are people out there who care about what we're doing, it gives us a huge morale boost and makes us proud to be British soldiers.

    Even though I am leaving the army in April, it just makes me feel that what I've done in the last few years was all worth while.

    Once again we can't thank you wonderful people enough for being so kind.

    I am writing this to you from Basra Iraq with a heart felt thanks for the parcel we received yesterday it was donated by the people of Sussex.

    My name is ( supplied) serving with the Royal Air Force.

    We are very busy and have yet to be given a return date, but we would like to thank you and the people of Sussex for the gifts you are doing a fantastic job and the thoughts of the people are heart warming.
